This recording
begins with a short speech by Virinchi's music teacher, Ustaad Faiyyaaz
Hussein Khan. Virinchi then renders two compositions in Raaga
Yaman. The Vilambit (slow) composition in EkTaal is a creation of
Ustaad Faiyyaaz Hussein Khan's father, Ustaad Mohammad Hussein
Khan.
The Drut (faster) composition in TeenTaal is by Amir Khan Sahib.
Harmonium accompaniment was provided by Mr Ravi Sidhaye. The
tabla was played by Ms Hemalata Bhumkar. Virinchi himself
played the tanpura.
